Eddy Maniez

Introducing Eddy Maniez, entirely self-taught and born in the picturesque city of Grasse in the Alpes-Maritimes on January 6, 1969. Today, he continues to create and innovate from his studio in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a testament to his unquenchable artistic spirit.
Eddy’s creative journey is nothing short of fascinating, spanning an array of materials—ceramics, resin, wood, and even furniture and interior walls. He doesn’t just adapt; he transforms each medium, bestowing upon it a unique aesthetic language that is purely his own.
Most compelling is Eddy’s groundbreaking pointillist technique, ingeniously crafted from silicone. This avant-garde approach not only captivates the eye but also invites touch, creating a multi-sensory experience that echoes the sentiments of legendary painter Magritte: “It is forbidden not to touch.”
Like the works of Magritte, Eddy’s creations defy mere visual enjoyment. They beckon your senses, luring your fingertips to experience a texture that, contrary to its vibrant appearance, is soft and inviting. Here, touch is not just allowed; it is an integral part of the artistic experience, imploring you to engage on a level that transcends mere observation.
So prepare to be enraptured, not just by the striking visuals but also by the irresistible tactility of Eddy Maniez’s work—a true feast for the senses, created by an artist whose innovation knows no bounds.
